One of the best experiences I've had buying a used bike!

I opted for a trade-in, and Dmitry made the process about as seamless as it could be. After getting a quote for my trade, which was competitive with the other major online reseller out there, I ordered the Crux you see below. Condition was as described, with brand new chain and cassette and an extra set of tires included.

Reused the shipping packaging to send the trade in back with a Lebel-supplied label, and got paid back my quoted price, no problem at all! Very communicative and transparent throughout the entire process.

Will be keeping an eye on their rotating inventory from now on, and you should too!

Today I said my final goodbye to my MTB. It was sad to see it go, but knew it will be in good hands under the watch and care of Dmitry and his team at Lebel Bicycles.

They made the inquiry of selling my bike super simple and even scheduled time for a local pickup. I received a fair offer and was satisfied with the deal. I enjoy working with people who are genuine and passionate about their craft. It was good to see true professionals in this small industry of cycling.

Thanks again Dmitry, appreciate you!

I come from a BMX background, rode as a Single A-Pro, and gave it up about 15 years ago. Lately, my kids have gotten big into biking, so I started looking for a new ride to get back into riding with them (I couldn’t do a beach cruiser). I used to have a Santa Cruz Chameleon years ago and loved that bike, so I started hunting and ended up finding Lebel Bikes on Pinkbike.

I’ll be honest, this was the first bike I’ve ever paid for. Every bike I’ve ever owned before was either given to me or sponsored, so I was hesitant. The price had me questioning everything. But let me tell you I got a hell of a deal.

The bike I bought was easily worth over $3,000, super clean, dialed in, and in better shape than I expected. I picked it up for $2,100 and it showed up packed like a pro. Heavy-duty box, padding, rotors perfectly straight, no scratches or damage. Bike was flawless out of the box.

And here’s what really impressed me: I reached out at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday and got a reply by 7 a.m. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

If you’re on the fence about buying a bike online or from someone you don’t know, Lebel Bikes is legit. No drama, no BS. Just a great bike, fair price, and solid communication. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing business. Great communication start to finish. I sold my enduro bike to them, as they gave me a great price unlike other resale websites. I Packed up the bike (really well I might add) and sent it out. Unfortunately during shipping- my bike was damaged, but despite this I was given the value of the estimate prior to my sending it. This is unheard of in resale of bicycles. Recommend 1000% percent.

I had an amazing experience trading in my old bike for a top-tier Specialized Tarmac at Lebel Bicycles. The team was professional and transparent throughout the entire process. They made sure my new bike met all my specifications and the quality is exactly what they promised. The trade-in was smooth, and the value they gave me was more than fair. It’s refreshing to find a shop that genuinely cares about its customers and offers such a great selection of premium bikes. Highly recommend them if you’re in Southern California

You won't find better customer service at a bike shop anywhere.

I live in Florida, and I have been looking for a very specific bike for a couple of months. I finally found exactly what I was looking for at Lebel. I had a ton of questions and they responded to my emails quickly and professionally. During the conversation I realized that they had the model year wrong on their listing. When I brought it up they did some digging and discovered I was right. They apologized, corrected the listing, and knocked $200 off the price.

When the bike showed up it was very professionally packed, but the stem cap was broken. I emailed them and within an hour I received an email with the tracking number for the replacement part. Then, the next day I found a broken spoke on the front wheel. They immediately replied and told me to take it to my local bike shop to get it fixed and send them the receipt. I did, and within 30 minutes of sending the email along with my Venmo QR code, I received the payment.

I am so impressed with their customer service. The bike was already a great deal even before they reduced the price, and they stand behind what they sell. Too many businesses pretend they don't know you once they get your money. Not Lebel. You can buy a bike from them and be confident they will still treat you with respect and courtesy after the sale. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Lebel Bicycles was the only shop that offered me a fair price for my bike. They made the entire transaction quick and seamless by picking up the bike from my home and paying me on the spot via Zelle. No more creeps from Marketplace trying to lowball me thanks to Lebel Bicycles!

This place has some of the nicest people I been around. They genuine care about you as a person and friend . They have one of the best showrooms I seen for a bike shop. I really love the quality service, genuine care and family atmosphere. The bike I bought from them was high quality and is an absolute dream. My friend also bought a bike here and now he is KOM master at routes we do. I will be a repeat customer here even though I live next to 3-4 in HB.
This place is located in one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of Orange County. So if you are going there to drop off your bike, hang out in the area grab some lunch and enjoy the view and weather.

Sold my bike to Lebel. I was given a quote online within minutes, which was a very fair offer that I was happy with. Dmitry was at my house within an hour to pick it up, and paid on the spot. Very quick, easy, smooth transaction and Dmitry was great to talk to about various other bikes I'm currently considering for purchase. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend working with Lebel Bicycles.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of road bikes, gravel bikes, and triathlon bikes, so there are plenty of quality options to choose from. They also offer bike fitting services, which is a huge plus if you want the bike set up correctly and comfortably. They helped me find the right bike and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new bike or expert service. I got this Factor Hanzo 😎

What Are The Benefits Of Buying a Used Mountain Bike?

The benefits of buying a used mountain bike are lower cost, access to higher-end components, reduced depreciation, sustainability, and wider selection at a given budget. These benefits are listed below.

  • Lower cost. Used mountain bikes sell for 30% to 50% less than the original retail price.
  • Access to higher-end components. A used mountain bike at $2,500 often includes suspension and drivetrain quality equivalent to a new bike at $4,000 or more.
  • Reduced depreciation. Mountain bikes lose the steepest portion of their value in the first year. A used bike holds its resale value more consistently after initial depreciation.
  • Sustainability. Buying used extends the functional life of existing frames and reduces manufacturing demand.
  • Wider selection. The used market includes discontinued models and previous-generation frames no longer available new.

What Are The Different Types of Used Mountain Bikes?

The different types of used mountain bikes are hardtail, full suspension cross-country, trail, enduro, and downhill mountain bikes.

Hardtail mountain bikes have front suspension only and a rigid rear frame.

Full suspension cross-country bikes have 100mm to 120mm of travel for speed and pedaling efficiency.

Trail bikes have 120mm to 160mm of travel for balanced climbing and descending.

Enduro bikes have 150mm to 170mm of travel for aggressive descending.

Downhill bikes have 200mm or more of travel and are designed exclusively for gravity riding.

What Are The Best Brands of Used Mountain Bikes?

The best brands of used mountain bikes are Santa Cruz, Specialized, Trek, Yeti, Giant, and Canyon.

How To Buy a Used Mountain Bike?

To buy a used mountain bike, inspect the frame for cracks, check suspension function, test the drivetrain, verify the correct size, and review the service history.

Your frame inspection should focus on the head tube, bottom bracket junction, and chainstay area. Suspension should cycle smoothly through full travel without binding or oil leakage. The drivetrain should shift cleanly across all gears.

Are Certified Pre-Owned Mountain Bikes Worth It?

Yes, certified pre-owned mountain bikes are worth it. CPO mountain bikes undergo professional multi-point inspections that verify frame integrity, suspension performance, drivetrain function, and braking components.

How To Choose The Right Mountain Bike Size?

To choose the right mountain bike size, match your height to the manufacturer's size chart and verify reach and standover height. Or use LebelBicycles bikes size guide.

A rider 168cm to 178cm (5'6" to 5'10") tall typically fits a Medium. Reach measures the horizontal distance from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the head tube. Standover height must allow at least 2 to 3 inches of clearance when standing over the frame.

What's The Geometry Of a Mountain Bike?

The geometry of a mountain bike is the set of frame angles and measurements that define its handling characteristics.

Key geometry measurements include head tube angle, seat tube angle, chainstay length, wheelbase, reach, and stack.

A slacker head tube angle (64 to 66 degrees) provides stability at high speeds and on steep descents.

A steeper seat tube angle (76 to 78 degrees) positions the rider forward for efficient climbing.

Shorter chainstays improve agility.

A longer wheelbase increases straight-line stability.

What's The Difference Between Men's and Women's Mountain Bikes?

The difference between men's and women's mountain bikes is frame geometry proportions and contact point sizing. Women's-specific mountain bikes feature shorter reach, narrower handlebars, and women's-specific saddles to account for proportional differences in torso-to-leg length ratio.

Some manufacturers have moved away from gender-specific models and instead offer a single geometry with multiple contact point options.

How Much Do Mountain Bikes Cost?

Mountain bikes cost between $500 and $12,000+ depending on frame material, suspension type, and component level.

Entry-level hardtails with aluminum frames cost between $500 and $1,500.

High-end carbon mountain bikes with premium components cost between $5,000 and $12,000+.

How Much Do Used Mountain Bikes Cost?

Used mountain bikes cost between $300 and $9,000 depending on age, condition, and original specification.

A used mid-range full suspension bike costs between $1,200 and $3,500.

A used high-end carbon mountain bike costs between $3,000 and $9,000.

What Frame Materials Are Used In Mountain Bikes?

The frame materials used in mountain bikes are aluminum, carbon fiber, steel, and titanium.

Aluminum is the most common material and provides a lightweight, stiff, and affordable option.

Carbon fiber is lighter and allows complex tube shaping for optimized stiffness and compliance.

Steel is durable and absorbs trail vibration but is heavier than aluminum and carbon.

Titanium combines the ride quality of steel with a weight closer to aluminum but costs significantly more.

Are Used Carbon Mountain Bikes Worth It?

Used carbon mountain bikes are worth it when the frame has been professionally inspected. Carbon fiber fatigues differently from metal and resists crack propagation but can sustain hidden impact damage that weakens the structure internally.
