The 2020 Santa Cruz Nomad CC represents the pinnacle of 27.5-inch enduro performance, designed specifically for big mountain terrain and high-consequence descents. Santa Cruz, headquartered in California, built the V4 Nomad around a lower-link driven VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) suspension platform—a design borrowed directly from their V10 downhill bike. This "CC" version utilizes the brand's highest-modulus carbon fiber, allowing for a frame that is incredibly stiff and responsive while shedding significant weight compared to the standard "C" model.

This XL custom build is a "no-expense-spared" setup, featuring a factory-tuned Fox Factory 36 fork and Float X2 rear shock, both with Kashima coating for ultra-low friction and maximum heat dissipation on long runs. For stopping power, the owner has opted for the legendary Shimano Saint quad-piston brakes, widely considered the gold standard for gravity riding. The drivetrain is a lightweight yet robust SRAM X01 Eagle 1x12 system, paired with RaceFace Next R carbon cranks and a 32T ring for efficient climbing and explosive acceleration.

The rolling stock is equally impressive, featuring Santa Cruz Reserve carbon rims laced to bulletproof DT Swiss 350 hubs. These are wrapped in unique Versus Trail tan wall tires, giving the "Sand" frame a distinct, aggressive aesthetic. Finished with a 30mm RaceFace stem for precise steering and a reliable Crankbrothers Highline dropper, this 2020 Nomad is a modern classic. It is perfectly suited for riders over 6'1" looking for a bike that is as capable in the bike park as it is on technical backcountry trails.
