A 2019 Specialized Epic Hardtail in size Large — a full carbon, race-bred 29er XC hardtail built for podium-chasing efficiency and all-day pedaling comfort. Specialized is a Morgan Hill, California institution founded in 1974 by Mike Sinyard, and the Epic line is the brand's most decorated cross-country platform, with World Cup and Olympic wins to its name. This particular Epic Hardtail is built on Specialized's FACT carbon chassis with internal cable routing, paired with a 100mm RockShox SID Brain fork that automatically firms up over smooth ground and opens on impacts — Specialized's signature "Brain" inertia-valve technology. Only 21lb. The drivetrain has been upgraded to a full SRAM X01 Eagle 1x12 mechanical group with a 32T chainring and 10–50t cassette, giving a wide enough range to attack steep race climbs without a front derailleur 1x . Wheels are the premium Roval Control Carbon set — light, stiff, and tubeless-ready, wrapped in Specialized's race-proven Fast Trak 29x2.2" front and Rear: Continental Cross King 29x2.2" rear. Finishing kit is all-Specialized: 720mm Mini-rise bar, 100mm XC stem, Phenom Expert saddle on hollow titanium rails, and a 27.2mm post. A serious lightweight XC weapon ready for marathon laps, backcountry singletrack, or your next race season.
