One of the best experiences I've had buying a used bike!

I opted for a trade-in, and Dmitry made the process about as seamless as it could be. After getting a quote for my trade, which was competitive with the other major online reseller out there, I ordered the Crux you see below. Condition was as described, with brand new chain and cassette and an extra set of tires included.

Reused the shipping packaging to send the trade in back with a Lebel-supplied label, and got paid back my quoted price, no problem at all! Very communicative and transparent throughout the entire process.

Will be keeping an eye on their rotating inventory from now on, and you should too!

2023 Santa Cruz Hightower CC

Today I said my final goodbye to my MTB. It was sad to see it go, but knew it will be in good hands under the watch and care of Dmitry and his team at Lebel Bicycles.

They made the inquiry of selling my bike super simple and even scheduled time for a local pickup. I received a fair offer and was satisfied with the deal. I enjoy working with people who are genuine and passionate about their craft. It was good to see true professionals in this small industry of cycling.

Thanks again Dmitry, appreciate you!

I come from a BMX background, rode as a Single A-Pro, and gave it up about 15 years ago. Lately, my kids have gotten big into biking, so I started looking for a new ride to get back into riding with them (I couldn’t do a beach cruiser). I used to have a Santa Cruz Chameleon years ago and loved that bike, so I started hunting and ended up finding Lebel Bikes on Pinkbike.

I’ll be honest, this was the first bike I’ve ever paid for. Every bike I’ve ever owned before was either given to me or sponsored, so I was hesitant. The price had me questioning everything. But let me tell you I got a hell of a deal.

The bike I bought was easily worth over $3,000, super clean, dialed in, and in better shape than I expected. I picked it up for $2,100 and it showed up packed like a pro. Heavy-duty box, padding, rotors perfectly straight, no scratches or damage. Bike was flawless out of the box.

And here’s what really impressed me: I reached out at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday and got a reply by 7 a.m. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

If you’re on the fence about buying a bike online or from someone you don’t know, Lebel Bikes is legit. No drama, no BS. Just a great bike, fair price, and solid communication. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing business. Great communication start to finish. I sold my enduro bike to them, as they gave me a great price unlike other resale websites. I Packed up the bike (really well I might add) and sent it out. Unfortunately during shipping- my bike was damaged, but despite this I was given the value of the estimate prior to my sending it. This is unheard of in resale of bicycles. Recommend 1000% percent.

I had an amazing experience trading in my old bike for a top-tier Specialized Tarmac at Lebel Bicycles. The team was professional and transparent throughout the entire process. They made sure my new bike met all my specifications and the quality is exactly what they promised. The trade-in was smooth, and the value they gave me was more than fair. It’s refreshing to find a shop that genuinely cares about its customers and offers such a great selection of premium bikes. Highly recommend them if you’re in Southern California

You won't find better customer service at a bike shop anywhere.

I live in Florida, and I have been looking for a very specific bike for a couple of months. I finally found exactly what I was looking for at Lebel. I had a ton of questions and they responded to my emails quickly and professionally. During the conversation I realized that they had the model year wrong on their listing. When I brought it up they did some digging and discovered I was right. They apologized, corrected the listing, and knocked $200 off the price.

When the bike showed up it was very professionally packed, but the stem cap was broken. I emailed them and within an hour I received an email with the tracking number for the replacement part. Then, the next day I found a broken spoke on the front wheel. They immediately replied and told me to take it to my local bike shop to get it fixed and send them the receipt. I did, and within 30 minutes of sending the email along with my Venmo QR code, I received the payment.

I am so impressed with their customer service. The bike was already a great deal even before they reduced the price, and they stand behind what they sell. Too many businesses pretend they don't know you once they get your money. Not Lebel. You can buy a bike from them and be confident they will still treat you with respect and courtesy after the sale. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Lebel Bicycles was the only shop that offered me a fair price for my bike. They made the entire transaction quick and seamless by picking up the bike from my home and paying me on the spot via Zelle. No more creeps from Marketplace trying to lowball me thanks to Lebel Bicycles!

This place has some of the nicest people I been around. They genuine care about you as a person and friend . They have one of the best showrooms I seen for a bike shop. I really love the quality service, genuine care and family atmosphere. The bike I bought from them was high quality and is an absolute dream. My friend also bought a bike here and now he is KOM master at routes we do. I will be a repeat customer here even though I live next to 3-4 in HB.
This place is located in one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of Orange County. So if you are going there to drop off your bike, hang out in the area grab some lunch and enjoy the view and weather.

Sold my bike to Lebel. I was given a quote online within minutes, which was a very fair offer that I was happy with. Dmitry was at my house within an hour to pick it up, and paid on the spot. Very quick, easy, smooth transaction and Dmitry was great to talk to about various other bikes I'm currently considering for purchase. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend working with Lebel Bicycles.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of road bikes, gravel bikes, and triathlon bikes, so there are plenty of quality options to choose from. They also offer bike fitting services, which is a huge plus if you want the bike set up correctly and comfortably. They helped me find the right bike and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new bike or expert service. I got this Factor Hanzo 😎

What Are The Benefits Of Buying a Used Trek Bike?

The benefits of buying a used Trek bike include lower purchase price, slower depreciation, access to higher-tier models, and reduced environmental impact. A used Trek bike costs 30% to 60% less than the same model purchased new.

The buyer gains access to OCLV carbon framesets and Shimano or SRAM electronic groupsets that would otherwise sit outside the original retail budget. A pre-owned bicycle also extends the lifecycle of the frame, which reduces the carbon footprint linked to new bicycle manufacturing.

What's Special About Trek Bikes?

Trek bikes are notable for their proprietary OCLV (Optimum Compaction Low Void) carbon manufacturing process, IsoSpeed decoupler technology, and a lifetime frame warranty for the original owner. OCLV carbon was developed by Trek in 1992 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, and produces frames with reduced void content compared to standard layup methods

IsoSpeed is a frame decoupler that allows the seat tube to flex independently from the top tube, reducing road vibration. Trek also engineers most of its high-end framesets in-house at its Wisconsin headquarters.

What Is The Trek Bike Sizing?

Trek bike sizing uses a numeric size system measured in centimeters for road bikes and a letter system (XS, S, M, ML, L, XL) for mountain bikes. Trek road bikes are produced in sizes from 47cm to 62cm, measured from the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube.

Trek mountain bikes use frame size labels that correspond to rider height ranges from 152 cm (5'0") to 196 cm (6'5"). The brand publishes a size chart on its website that maps each frame size to a recommended rider height range.

How Much Do Trek Bikes Cost?

A new Trek bike costs between $500 and $14,000, depending on the model tier and component group. Entry-level Trek FX hybrid bikes start at approximately $599. Mid-range Trek Domane and Trek Fuel EX models range from $2,500 to $6,000. Top-tier Trek Madone SLR builds with SRAM Red AXS or Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets reach $13,499.

How Much Do Used Trek Bikes Cost?

A used Trek bike costs between $400 and $8,000, depending on model, age, and condition. A certified pre-owned Trek Domane SL with a Shimano 105 groupset typically resells between $1,800 and $2,800. A used Trek Madone SLR with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset resells between $4,500 and $6,500. A used Trek Fuel EX 8 mountain bike resells between $2,200 and $3,500.

Are Certified Pre-Owned Trek Bikes Worth It?

Certified pre-owned Trek bikes are worth the purchase price for most buyers. A CPO Trek bike includes a multi-point mechanical inspection, replacement of consumable parts, and a limited resale warranty.

The buyer avoids the depreciation hit of the first ownership year, which represents 20% to 30% of the original retail value on premium Trek models. The CPO process also removes the inspection burden from the buyer, which is the largest risk factor in private-market used bike purchases.

What Types Of Bikes Do Trek Produce?

Trek produces five main types of bikes which are road bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, hybrid bikes, and electric bikes. The Trek bike types and their definitions are listed below.

  • Road bikes: Trek road bikes are drop-bar bicycles built for paved surfaces. The Trek Madone, Trek Émonda, and Trek Domane are the three core road bike platforms.
  • Mountain bikes: Trek mountain bikes are off-road bicycles with suspension and wide-knob tires. The Trek Fuel EX, Trek Top Fuel, and Trek Supercaliber are the leading mountain bike platforms.
  • Gravel bikes: Trek gravel bikes are drop-bar bicycles built for mixed-surface riding. The Trek Checkpoint is Trek's primary gravel platform.
  • Hybrid bikes: Trek hybrid bikes are flat-bar bicycles built for commuting and fitness. The Trek FX and Trek Dual Sport are the core hybrid platforms.
  • Electric bikes: Trek electric bikes are pedal-assist bicycles powered by Bosch and TQ motor systems. The Trek Domane+, Trek Fuel EXe, and Trek Allant+ are core e-bike platforms.

What Does the Trek Model Lineup Include?

The Trek model lineup includes the Madone, Émonda, Domane, Fuel EX, Top Fuel, Supercaliber, Checkpoint, FX, and Allant+. The Madone is Trek's aero road bike, and Madone Gen 8 absorbed the Émonda platform in 2024 to become Trek's combined aero and climbing race bike.

The Émonda is Trek's historical lightweight climbing road bike, and earlier generations remain widely available in the used market. The Domane is Trek's endurance road bike with IsoSpeed decoupler technology.

The Fuel EX is Trek's trail mountain bike. The Top Fuel is Trek's short-travel trail mountain bike with 120mm to 130mm of rear travel. The Supercaliber is Trek's race-oriented full-suspension cross-country bike. The Checkpoint is Trek's gravel bike. The FX is Trek's fitness hybrid. The Allant+ is Trek's commuter electric bike.

What Is The History Of Trek Bikes?

Trek Bicycle Corporation was founded in 1976 by Richard Burke and Bevill Hogg in Waterloo, Wisconsin. The company began producing steel frames in a red barn in Waterloo. Trek launched its first carbon-tubed bike, the Trek 2500, in 1986.

The brand introduced its OCLV carbon manufacturing process in 1992. Trek acquired Gary Fisher in 1993 and Bontrager in 1995. Trek-sponsored rider results across the Tour de France, including those of Lance Armstrong from 1999 to 2005, were later vacated by the UCI in 2012 following the United States Anti-Doping Agency investigation.

Which Country Is Trek From?

Trek is from the United States. Trek's headquarters is located in Waterloo, Wisconsin. The company designs and engineers its premium frames in Wisconsin and manufactures most production frames in Asia.

Which Is Better, Trek or Specialized?

Trek and Specialized are comparable in build quality, performance, and price. Trek is generally stronger in endurance road bikes through the Domane platform and in lightweight climbing bikes through the Émonda.

Specialized is generally stronger in aero road bikes through the Tarmac SL8 and in trail mountain bikes through the Stumpjumper. Both brands offer lifetime frame warranties on premium carbon framesets. The choice between Trek and Specialized depends on fit geometry, local dealer support, and platform preference.

Are Trek Bikes a Good Value For Money?

Trek bikes are a good value for money in the mid-range and high-end segments. A Trek Domane SL 6 with a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset retails near $3,999, which is competitive with comparable Specialized and Cannondale builds.

Trek's lifetime frame warranty for the original owner extends the effective ownership horizon and improves total cost of ownership. The dense Trek dealer network in North America also lowers ongoing service costs.

Do Trek Bikes Hold Their Value?

Trek bikes hold their value well in the used market. A premium Trek model retains 60% to 75% of its original retail value after one year. The Trek Madone, Trek Émonda SLR, and Trek Fuel EX 9.9 are among the strongest value-retainers in the lineup. Resale strength is supported by Trek's frame warranty, the brand's dealer network, and continued parts availability.

Where To Sell a Used Trek Bike?

A used Trek bike can be sold to Lebel Bicycles. Lebel Bicycles is a certified pre-owned bicycle retailer that purchases used Trek bikes directly from owners. The seller submits the bike's specifications and photos to Lebel Bicycles and receives a cash offer or trade-in credit. Lebel Bicycles inspects, services, and resells the bike under its CPO program.

How To Trade In a Used Trek Bike?

A used Trek bike is traded in by submitting the bike's model, year, and condition details to Lebel Bicycles. Lebel Bicycles issues a trade-in credit value based on current market data. The credit is applied to the purchase of any in-stock bike at Lebel Bicycles.

What Is The Best Certified Pre-Owned Trek Bike Retailer?

Lebel Bicycles is the best certified pre-owned Trek bike retailer. Lebel Bicycles inspects every Trek bike it sells, replaces consumable parts, and issues a limited resale warranty with each sale. The retailer's CPO program covers the Trek Madone, Trek Domane, Trek Émonda, Trek Fuel EX, Trek Top Fuel, Trek Supercaliber, and Trek Checkpoint platforms.
