One of the best experiences I've had buying a used bike!

I opted for a trade-in, and Dmitry made the process about as seamless as it could be. After getting a quote for my trade, which was competitive with the other major online reseller out there, I ordered the Crux you see below. Condition was as described, with brand new chain and cassette and an extra set of tires included.

Reused the shipping packaging to send the trade in back with a Lebel-supplied label, and got paid back my quoted price, no problem at all! Very communicative and transparent throughout the entire process.

Will be keeping an eye on their rotating inventory from now on, and you should too!

Today I said my final goodbye to my MTB. It was sad to see it go, but knew it will be in good hands under the watch and care of Dmitry and his team at Lebel Bicycles.

They made the inquiry of selling my bike super simple and even scheduled time for a local pickup. I received a fair offer and was satisfied with the deal. I enjoy working with people who are genuine and passionate about their craft. It was good to see true professionals in this small industry of cycling.

Thanks again Dmitry, appreciate you!

I come from a BMX background, rode as a Single A-Pro, and gave it up about 15 years ago. Lately, my kids have gotten big into biking, so I started looking for a new ride to get back into riding with them (I couldn’t do a beach cruiser). I used to have a Santa Cruz Chameleon years ago and loved that bike, so I started hunting and ended up finding Lebel Bikes on Pinkbike.

I’ll be honest, this was the first bike I’ve ever paid for. Every bike I’ve ever owned before was either given to me or sponsored, so I was hesitant. The price had me questioning everything. But let me tell you I got a hell of a deal.

The bike I bought was easily worth over $3,000, super clean, dialed in, and in better shape than I expected. I picked it up for $2,100 and it showed up packed like a pro. Heavy-duty box, padding, rotors perfectly straight, no scratches or damage. Bike was flawless out of the box.

And here’s what really impressed me: I reached out at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday and got a reply by 7 a.m. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

If you’re on the fence about buying a bike online or from someone you don’t know, Lebel Bikes is legit. No drama, no BS. Just a great bike, fair price, and solid communication. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing business. Great communication start to finish. I sold my enduro bike to them, as they gave me a great price unlike other resale websites. I Packed up the bike (really well I might add) and sent it out. Unfortunately during shipping- my bike was damaged, but despite this I was given the value of the estimate prior to my sending it. This is unheard of in resale of bicycles. Recommend 1000% percent.

I had an amazing experience trading in my old bike for a top-tier Specialized Tarmac at Lebel Bicycles. The team was professional and transparent throughout the entire process. They made sure my new bike met all my specifications and the quality is exactly what they promised. The trade-in was smooth, and the value they gave me was more than fair. It’s refreshing to find a shop that genuinely cares about its customers and offers such a great selection of premium bikes. Highly recommend them if you’re in Southern California

You won't find better customer service at a bike shop anywhere.

I live in Florida, and I have been looking for a very specific bike for a couple of months. I finally found exactly what I was looking for at Lebel. I had a ton of questions and they responded to my emails quickly and professionally. During the conversation I realized that they had the model year wrong on their listing. When I brought it up they did some digging and discovered I was right. They apologized, corrected the listing, and knocked $200 off the price.

When the bike showed up it was very professionally packed, but the stem cap was broken. I emailed them and within an hour I received an email with the tracking number for the replacement part. Then, the next day I found a broken spoke on the front wheel. They immediately replied and told me to take it to my local bike shop to get it fixed and send them the receipt. I did, and within 30 minutes of sending the email along with my Venmo QR code, I received the payment.

I am so impressed with their customer service. The bike was already a great deal even before they reduced the price, and they stand behind what they sell. Too many businesses pretend they don't know you once they get your money. Not Lebel. You can buy a bike from them and be confident they will still treat you with respect and courtesy after the sale. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Lebel Bicycles was the only shop that offered me a fair price for my bike. They made the entire transaction quick and seamless by picking up the bike from my home and paying me on the spot via Zelle. No more creeps from Marketplace trying to lowball me thanks to Lebel Bicycles!

This place has some of the nicest people I been around. They genuine care about you as a person and friend . They have one of the best showrooms I seen for a bike shop. I really love the quality service, genuine care and family atmosphere. The bike I bought from them was high quality and is an absolute dream. My friend also bought a bike here and now he is KOM master at routes we do. I will be a repeat customer here even though I live next to 3-4 in HB.
This place is located in one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of Orange County. So if you are going there to drop off your bike, hang out in the area grab some lunch and enjoy the view and weather.

Sold my bike to Lebel. I was given a quote online within minutes, which was a very fair offer that I was happy with. Dmitry was at my house within an hour to pick it up, and paid on the spot. Very quick, easy, smooth transaction and Dmitry was great to talk to about various other bikes I'm currently considering for purchase. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend working with Lebel Bicycles.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of road bikes, gravel bikes, and triathlon bikes, so there are plenty of quality options to choose from. They also offer bike fitting services, which is a huge plus if you want the bike set up correctly and comfortably. They helped me find the right bike and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new bike or expert service. I got this Factor Hanzo 😎

What Is a Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

A Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike is a lightweight off-road bicycle designed for racing and endurance riding on rolling, climbing, and moderately technical terrain. XC mountain bikes use 100mm to 120mm of suspension travel, 29-inch wheels, and fast-rolling tyres between 2.2 and 2.4 inches wide. The frame geometry is tuned for pedalling efficiency with a steeper 67 to 69 degree head tube angle, a long reach, and a steep 74 to 76 degree seat tube angle. A complete XC mountain bike weighs between 9kg and 11kg, which is lower than any other mountain bike category.

What Are The Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes Designed For?

Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are designed for cross-country racing, marathon events, endurance singletrack, and long-distance backcountry riding. XC bikes handle UCI World Cup courses, Cape Epic-style stage races, fire-road climbs, and rolling singletrack where low weight and pedalling efficiency matter more than descending capability. The steep seat tube angle positions the rider over the bottom bracket for efficient seated climbing, while the 100mm to 120mm travel range is enough to absorb chatter without robbing pedalling energy. Modern “down-country” XC bikes with 120mm forks and slacker geometry are also designed for faster trail descents and light technical terrain.

What Are The Benefits Of Buying a Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

The benefits of buying a used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike include lower purchase cost, access to premium race-level specifications, and a lower effective cost-per-kilometre. A certified pre-owned XC mountain bike from LebelBicycles typically retails for 40% to 60% less than the same model new. XC bikes also depreciate more quickly than trail or enduro bikes because race buyers refresh frames frequently, which creates a strong supply of low-hour used inventory. The used market lets buyers access carbon frames, SRAM XX1 or Shimano XTR drivetrains, and premium suspension platforms like the Fox 32 Step-Cast or RockShox SID at mid-range price points.

What Are The Best Brands of Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes?

The best brands of used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are Specialized, Trek, Cannondale, Giant, and Santa Cruz. These five brands dominate the used XC market because they run factory World Cup race programmes, produce long model generations, and carry frame warranties that transfer to certified pre-owned buyers.

What Are The Best Model Lineups Of Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes?

The best model lineups of used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are listed below.

  • Specialized Epic: A full-suspension XC race platform with the Brain inertia valve shock and Rider-First Engineered carbon layup.
  • Trek Supercaliber: An 80mm rear-travel race bike with the IsoStrut shock integrated into the top tube for near-hardtail pedalling efficiency.
  • Cannondale Scalpel: A lightweight 100mm full-suspension XC frame paired with the Lefty Ocho single-sided fork.
  • Giant Anthem: A 100mm to 120mm travel XC frame with the FlexPoint Pro suspension linkage and Advanced-grade carbon composite.
  • Santa Cruz Blur: A 107mm rear-travel XC and down-country frame with the Superlight flex-stay suspension platform.

How To Buy a Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

To buy a used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike, first define your use case (World Cup XC, marathon, or down-country), then set a budget, then confirm the correct frame size, and finally select a certified pre-owned dealer. Factors to consider include frame material, wheel size, fork travel, drivetrain generation, and suspension service history. Online buyers should order from dealers like LebelBicycles that provide photographs of every unit, full component lists, a test-ride or return window, and a documented mechanical inspection. Buyers looking for a used XC mountain bike near them should check local certified pre-owned shops, as in-person inspection confirms cockpit fit, suspension condition, and drivetrain wear before purchase.

Are Certified Pre-Owned Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes Worth It?

Yes, certified pre-owned Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are worth it. A certified pre-owned XC bike has been inspected, serviced, and warranty-backed by a professional dealer, which removes the mechanical risk associated with private-sale used race bikes. CPO XC bikes deliver near-new race performance at a substantially reduced price, with the frame, suspension service, drivetrain, and brake system all verified before sale.

How To Choose The Right Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike Size?

To choose the right Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike size, match the frame size to your height and inseam, then confirm the reach measurement suits your race position. A rider between 170cm and 178cm typically fits a Medium XC frame, while riders between 178cm and 186cm typically fit a Large. Reach is the most important sizing value on a modern XC bike, as a longer reach improves climbing stability and high-speed control. Stand-over clearance should measure at least 2 to 5 centimetres between the top tube and the rider’s inseam.

What’s The Frame Geometry Of a Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

The frame geometry of a Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike is defined by head tube angle, seat tube angle, reach, chainstay length, and bottom bracket drop. XC race frames use a 67 to 69 degree head tube angle for quick, precise steering on climbs and tight singletrack. Seat tube angles sit between 74 and 76 degrees to position the rider over the bottom bracket for efficient seated pedalling. Chainstay length is typically 430mm to 440mm, which balances climbing traction and cornering agility. Bottom bracket drop is usually 40mm to 50mm for stable, low-centre-of-gravity handling on fast courses.

What Frame Materials Are Commonly Used In Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes?

The frame materials commonly used in Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are carbon fibre, aluminium, and titanium. Carbon fibre is the dominant material at the race and premium level because of its low weight and tuned compliance. Aluminium is used on entry-level and mid-range XC bikes because of its strength-to-cost ratio. Titanium is used on custom and boutique XC hardtails for long-term corrosion resistance and ride feel.

Are Carbon Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes Worth It?

Carbon Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes are worth it for racers, marathon riders, and weight-focused riders. A carbon XC frame weighs 900g to 1100g for a hardtail and 1800g to 2100g for a full-suspension platform, compared to 1400g to 1600g and 2600g to 2900g for equivalent aluminium frames. Carbon layup can also tune vertical compliance to reduce trail buzz while keeping lateral stiffness for pedalling efficiency. The used market is the most cost-effective way to access a carbon XC bike, as a certified pre-owned unit reduces the new-bike price premium.

How Much Do Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes Cost?

Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes cost between $1,500 and $12,000 new, depending on frame material and component specification. Entry-level aluminium XC full-suspension bikes cost $1,500 to $2,500 new. Mid-range carbon XC bikes with SRAM GX or Shimano XT drivetrains cost $4,000 to $6,500 new. Premium World Cup race-level carbon XC bikes with SRAM XX SL or Shimano XTR Di2 cost $8,500 to $12,000 new.

How Much Do Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bikes Cost?

Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bikes cost between $900 and $7,000 at certified pre-owned dealers. A used entry-level aluminium XC bike costs $900 to $1,800. A used mid-range carbon XC full-suspension bike costs $2,800 to $4,500. A used high-end carbon XC race bike costs $5,000 to $7,000, a 40% to 55% discount from new retail pricing.

How To Sell a Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

To sell a used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike, submit the bike’s model, year, component list, and photographs to LebelBicycles for a valuation. LebelBicycles handles the cleaning, listing, and transaction, which removes the risk and time cost of a private sale. The seller receives an agreed payout once the bike is inspected and accepted into the certified pre-owned inventory.

How To Trade In a Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike?

To trade in a used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike, request a trade-in valuation from LebelBicycles and apply the credit toward another certified pre-owned bike in inventory. The trade-in value is calculated from model year, condition, and current market demand. LebelBicycles performs the mechanical inspection on the trade-in bike and issues the credit at the point of the new purchase.

What Is The Best Used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain Bike Dealer?

LebelBicycles is the best used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike dealer. LebelBicycles sells certified pre-owned XC mountain bikes from Specialized, Trek, Cannondale, Giant, and Santa Cruz, with every unit inspected, serviced, and warranty-backed. The dealer lists full component specifications, frame size, model year, and inspection notes for each XC bike, which gives buyers the information needed to purchase a used Cross-Country (XC) Mountain bike with confidence.
